Not all free agents carry the same weight in dynasty fantasy football. Many signings register only minor blips on the value radar. A select group, however, can shift tiers significantly depending on their new role, quarterback situation, or offensive scheme. Some recent examples are RB Saquon Barkley, RB Derrick Henry, QB Sam Darnold, and WR Stefon Diggs.

Malik Willis is entering free agency as one of the most intriguing QB options for 2026. Willis has massive fantasy upside given his rushing ability. In his limited opportunities he was highly efficient passing (30/35 for 422 yds & 3 TDs) and demonstrated a proven rushing production (45 rushing yards per start, with 2 rushing TDs against the Ravens in week 17). In dynasty/Superflex formats especially, his value could skyrocket with a clear starting role in a favorable offense or plummet if he lands in a messy situation with poor weapons, conservative play calling, or competition.
Malik Willis turns 27 in May and currently has a value of mid to late QB2 with upside, as he is often ranked in the 20-30 range for single QB leagues. Willis is QB31 in my dynasty rankings, as he has been the backup to Jordan Love for the Packers.
My favorite landing spot for Willis is the Arizona Cardinals, as he has ties to the GM Ossenfort who drafted Malik Willis when he was with the Titans, the new head coach is the brother of Matt LaFleur who coached Willis in Green Bay. Along with the scheme fit, the Cardinals have some solid receiving options with Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Trey McBride at tight end.
My least favorite landing spot for Willis is the Cleveland Browns; Deshaun Watson is still on the roster, and they drafted Gabriel and Sanders last year, suggesting a competition or potentially a short leash if he were to win the job and struggle.
Could rise to top 12 QB territory or fall to QB40 range.
Alec Pierce is riding high in dynasty fantasy football rankings following a breakout 2025 season where he had a career high 47 receptions for 1,003 yards (21.3 YPC, leading the NFL for the second straight year) and 6 TDs, despite only receiving 84 targets. At age 25, his big play ability and known deep threat trait boosted his stock significantly, making him one of the top free agent wide receivers.
Pierce’s current value is a WR3/Flex with boom or bust appeal, which lands him with a positional rank range of 32-47. Pierce is the WR 37 in my dynasty rankings, as the Colts depth at receiver has capped his upside.
My favorite, and most likely, landing spot for Alec Pierce is the New England Patriots, as they have released Stefon Diggs vacating 103 targets and have the cap space to take him on. Drake Maye is one of the best deep ball passers, and the Patriots scheme can maximize Pierce's big play ability.
My least favorite landing spot for Alec Pierce is the New York Jets, due to inconsistent quarterback play and a crowded wide receiver room with Garrett Wilson already being the alpha. Conservative offensive play calling will limit deep targets down the field.
Could rise to WR15 territory or fall to WR50 range.
Tyler Allgeier is becoming a popular dynasty value candidate heading into free agency. As he is underrated as a fantasy asset and gets overlooked by the other running backs on the market with guys like Kenneth Walker and Travis Etienne. Allgeier turns 26 in April and in 2025 he showed some solid standalone value despite playing behind starter Bijan Robinson with a career high 8 rushing touchdowns due to efficient goal line work. He flashed as a rookie with 1,035 rushing yards in 2022 but was capped after the Falcons drafted Bijan Robinson in 2023 pushing Allgeier down to RB2 on the depth chart.
Allgeier is currently undervalued as he is viewed as an RB3 ranging from RB37 to RB61 in dynasty rankings. My dynasty ranking for Tyler Allgeier is RB32, but if he lands with the right team I could easily move Allgeier up into my top 24 as a solid RB2.
Selfishly as a Broncos fan I would love Allgeier to sign with the Broncos. I think he would be the perfect complement to RJ Harvey. As the lead back last year, J.K. Dobbins was on a 17-game pace for 260 carries, 1,312 yards, and 7 rushing touchdowns.
My least favorite landing spot for Allgeier is the Chicago Bears since the backfield is crowded with D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai (although Ben Johnson’s offensive scheme is an upside).
Could rise into the top 24 territory or fall into the RB40-50 range.
Isaiah Likely is a high upside dynasty stash, turning 26 in April. His 2025 production dipped due to a preseason foot fracture and competition from Mark Andrews (who surprisingly received a 3-year extension), limiting him to around 25 receptions for 307 yards and 1 touchdown in limited action. However, given his strong athletic profile when Andrews was out Likely was TE5 in PPG when filling in as the starting TE.
Consensus views him as a TE2 and an overall range between TE19-26. I have Likely ranked as the TE18 in my dynasty rankings. Given his youth, he has plenty of productive years ahead. If he is a starter in the right offense, he has shown the potential to be a TE1.
My favorite landing spot for Likely is the Philadelphia Eagles, as it looks like they won’t be bringing Dallas Goedert back, vacating 82 TE targets and 11 touchdowns. Likely could be a nice replacement for Goedert with similar yards after the catch ability.
My least favorite landing spot for Likely would be the Pittsburgh Steelers, as they could be looking to replace Jonnu Smith. The Steelers are a run-first team and already have Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington who emerged last season as well.
Could rise top TE territory or fall to TE25 range.
Kyler Murray is a boom or bust fantasy asset turning 29 in August. After a disappointing 2025 limited him to around 5 games due to injury/shutdown and a career worst 16.2 fantasy points per game, the Cardinals informed him of their intent to release him (effective March 11 league year start), with Arizona still owing him $36.8M guaranteed for 2026 he'll likely play on the veteran minimum elsewhere, similar to past QB cuts like Russell Wilson. Although this creates substantial uncertainty, there is good value potential given his rushing upside, and proven fantasy QB1 seasons remain intact.
Due to negative haze around his Arizona tenure and recent inability to stay healthy Kyler Murray is currently valued as a low end QB2. Most consensus rankings rank him in the QB16-30 range. I rank Murray QB18 in my dynasty rankings. Even if Murray goes to a good landing spot it would be tough for me to move him up as there is no guarantee he will still be with that team after playing for the league minimum in 2026.
My favorite landing spot is everyone's dream landing spot for Murray and that is the Minnesota Vikings. Getting to play in Kevin O'Connell's QB friendly system to go along with weapons like Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and TJ Hockenson would be a massive upgrade for Kyler Murray than what he had in Arizona. Guys like Carson Wentz and Josh Dobbs were fantasy relevant in this system and similar talent around them.
My least favorite landing spot for Murray is the Cleveland Browns, due to the fact that he would be brought there to compete with the other QB's on the roster with Watson, Gabriel, and Sanders already there. Even though he would be a good scheme fit with Monken, the O-line woes and chaotic organization suppress his upside.
Could rise to top 10 territory or fall to QB25-30 range.
Not every free agent move reshapes dynasty values. Most are minor blips. But players like Malik Willis, Alec Pierce, Tyler Allgeier, Isaiah Likely, and Kyler Murray, much like recent standouts Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry, Sam Darnold, and Stefon Diggs can shift tiers overnight based on role, QB fit, and scheme.
Free agency starts now. Act early, trust talent over noise, and turn one landing spot into league-winning value. The offseason edge is yours to seize.
